President Ahmadinejad, who is visiting the U.S. to attend the United Nations General Assembly Session, was invited to speak at Columbia University as a guest of its World Leaders Forum. In response to a question from an audience member concerning Iran’s documented abuse of homosexuals and women, Ahmadinejad replied, "In Iran, we don’t have homosexuals like in your country." Ahmadinejad said, "Don’t you have capital punishment in the United States? You do too. In Iran there is capital punishment."
